{"id":373,"date":"2011-10-19T19:58:09","date_gmt":"2011-10-19T19:58:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.techivity.com\/?p=373"},"modified":"2011-10-19T19:58:09","modified_gmt":"2011-10-19T19:58:09","slug":"crosstrade-imports-wordpress-opencart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.techivity.com\/?p=373","title":{"rendered":"Crosstrade Imports: WordPress &#038; OpenCart"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crosstrade.org\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-376\" style=\"margin: 4px; border: 1px solid black;\" title=\"CrossTrade WordPress Site\" src=\"http:\/\/192.249.123.52\/~techiv6\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/CT-WP-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"CrossTrade WordPress\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><a title=\"Crosstrade Imports\" href=\"http:\/\/www.crosstrade.org\">Crosstrade Imports<\/a> is a fantastic eco-friendly client that helps tribal peoples in Brazil establish business relationships in the US.<\/p>\n<p>Crosstrade was trying to update their site through Dreamweaver without much knowledge of HTML.\u00a0 After a proper requirements assessment, we determined that they needed an online store and website system that they could update in-house using store labor with minimal web skills.\u00a0 They were also hosted by a company that offered minimal support and hosting resources.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"www.crosstrade.org\/store\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-378\" title=\"CrossTrade OpenCart\" src=\"http:\/\/192.249.123.52\/~techiv6\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/CT-OC-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>We started with a site migration to <a title=\"BlueHost\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bluehost.com\/track\/techivity\">BlueHost<\/a>, a large hosting company that offers significant control panel resources for small to mid-size business, then set up OpenCart with a custom template and trained them to enter their own products.<\/p>\n<p>Once the <a title=\"Crosstrade Imports Store\" href=\"http:\/\/www.crosstrade.org\/store\">Crosstrade Imports On-line Store<\/a> was up and running, we converted some custom designs into a WordPress template and configured WordPress to support their needs.\u00a0 Since Techivity helped redesign the technology framework for the Crosstrade site, in-store personnel at CrossTrade has successfully updated their own web pages and product listings.<\/p>\n<p>Add Google Analytics, some key word research and basic search-engine optimization and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crosstrade.org\">Crosstrade Imports<\/a> is set to build and grow their on-line business helping artists in Brazil support themselves.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Crosstrade Imports is a fantastic eco-friendly client that helps tribal peoples in Brazil establish business relationships in the US.
